Two arrested after 29 marijuana plants seized
Winnipeg police seized 29 marijuana plants at a home in the Assiniboia neighbourhood Monday night.
Police said officers were investigating an unrelated incident in the area when they went to a home in the 100-block of Carriage Road.
The marijuana plants have an estimated street value of $32,480. Police also seized $1,000 in grow operation equipment.
A 37-year-old woman at the home was arrested and later released on a promise to appear in court.
Police later arrested a 52-year-old man, who is being held in custody at the Winnipeg Remand Centre.
