Two arrested after River Heights break-in

Two men are in custody and facing break-and-enter charges after a River Heights home was broken into Tuesday morning.

Police said two men broke into a home in the 400 block of Ash Street just before 10 a.m., stole a quantity of property – a laptop computer and other electronics, jewelry and some cash -- and then fled on bikes.

The home was unoccupied but other neighbours had called police, suspicious that two men on bikes were casing the neighbourhood

Officers found two suspects nearby on Wellington Crescent near Waverley Street.

A 31-year-old man and a 28-year-old man are facing charges, including breaking and entering and possessing break-in instruments.
