  • Print

Two people are facing several drug-related charges after Winnipeg police uncovered a grow-op this week.

Member of the Marijuana Grow Operation Unit (MGO) executed a search warrant at a house in the 400 block of McAdam Avenue Thursday.

Over 900 marijuana plants, with an estimated street value of over $1-million, were seized in the bust. Police also found six-pounds of dry marijuana ($12,000), various pieces of grow-op equipment ($12,000), and nearly $2,500 Canadian.

A 48-year-old woman and a 50-year-old man inside the home were arrested and charged. Both were released on a promise to appear.
