Two charged with series of robberies

Two men were taken into custody recently and charged with a series of commercial robberies last year.

Winnipeg police said they had been looking for two suspects believed responsible for the robberies in September and October, including a convenience store on Aikens Street that was hit twice.

Shawn Mathew Michaud, 21, has been charged with four counts of robbery with a weapon and wearing a disguise.

Derek Thomas Pistagnesi, 26, has been charged with three counts of robbery with a weapon.

Both men remain in custody.
