Two escape Westwood fire

Two people escaped a fire about 6 a.m. Tuesday that caused extensive damage to a house on McBey Avenue in Westwood.

The bi-level home at 3057 McBey Avenue suffered fire damage to its deck and the rear interior, a Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service spokesman said.

Two people who resided at the home escaped the blaze before firefighters arrived at the scene.

There is no estimate of damage yet and the cause is under investigation.
