Police cadets are taking to two wheels this summer as part of a new bike patrol program.
Winnipeg police say 16 auxiliary cadets with specialized training will be mobile city wide, increasing patrols in other districts, including bike paths, riverbanks and parks.
The idea is to free up regular officers and to offer a more visible police presence throughout the city.
