Police locate vehicle that took out lights

Police say they've found the vehicle that took out traffic lights and broke a window at Bannatyne Avenue and Main Street overnight.

The driver was given a ticket for leaving the scene of an accident, Winnipeg Police Service spokesman Const. Jason Michalyshen said Sunday. Alcohol was not a factor, he said.

A building on the corner owned by CentreVenture, a downtown business agency, was damaged in the crash.

Meanwhile, temporary repairs have lights at Stradbrook Avenue and Donald Street working again after a vehicle hit a light standard there, as well.

Police said two vehicles were involved in that crash and the drivers exchanged contact information.

No injuries were reported in either accident. Both took place around 2 a.m.
