Today House is seeking volunteers to work as homeless shelter houseparents. As part of duties, you will ensure the guests using the shelter are welcomed and offered a meal on arrival and receive clean clothes, breakfast in the morning and compassion.

 

House-parents work with the volunteer co-ordinator to choose their evening/ nights. Information: todayhouseinc@ gmail.com or www.todayhouse.ca.

 

Cuba Va! Pavilion at Folklorama needs volunteers. Pavilion sponsor, Hope for a Better World, is seeking volunteers, Aug. 10-16, to be cashiers, servers, cooks and to help with the children’s show. Information: 204-963-5045 or mcallister_51@yahoo.ca.

 

Volunteer as Fun Zone assistant with Manitoba Field Unit, Parks Canada. Fun Zones activities are held daily in July and August, Lower Fort Garry.Volunteers are needed to encourage visitors to play. Information: blair.philpott@pc.gc.ca or 204-984-1759.
