The Pavilion of Scotland will be open Aug. 4-10 of Folklorama — help is needed then and the week before to set up. Volunteer information night is June 23, 4 p.m., Glenwood Community Centre, 27 Overton St., info@pavilionofscotland.ca or 204-982-6210.

 

Simaril Inc., is looking for a volunteer to serve on its board of directors to ensure there is competent leadership and adequate resources to accomplish the mission, vision and strategic intent of the organization. Duties include active participation in meeting and community work. Training is provided. Commitment is four hours per month. Members can serve up to three twoyear terms. A wildlife sanctuary near Birds Hill Park requires volunteers to help with the day-to-day maintenance, including pruning trees, cutting grassand assisting with cats in kennels. Four hours at a time and shifts can be booked in advance. Bring resumé in person to Pharaoh Holdings Ltd., 310 Nairn Ave. Monday/Thursday/ Friday 9:30 a.m.-noon. Information: 204-669-1446.

 

Vista Park Lodge Personal Care Home in St. Vital is looking for volunteers in the following areas: cribbage players, one-to-one visiting companions, assistance with the breakfast programs and an administrative and program assistant. Information: Janet 204-257-6688.

 

The Manitoba Chapter of Osteoporosis Canada has a vacancy for a fund development chair. In 10-15 hours per month, this person is responsible for developing and monitoring the fundraising budget, projects and activities. Information: 204-772-3498 or manitoba@osteoporosis. ca.
