Warm weekend ahead, but rain in the forecast for Saturday evening

  • Print

Winnipeg’s once-promising weekend forecast now has a bit of uncertainty to it.

Environment Canada is calling for a beautiful sunny day today, with a northwest wind 30 km/h and a high of 26 C. Clear skies and a low of 14 C is expected for tonight.

That’s the good news. The bad news could arrive tomorrow.

Sunshine is expected make way for clouds Saturday afternoon, bringing with them the possibility of a few isolated showers in the afternoon through the evening. There’s a risk of a thunderstorm mixed in there, too. The wind is also of note, blowing from the northwest 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h at times.

Saturday’s high figures to be around the 24 C mark.

Sunday will cool down quite a bit, with a high of only 18 C.

Clear skies and warmer temperatures make up the extended forecast for next week.
