Weekend weather could get damp overnight

  • Print

While the weekend weather could get a little damp overnight, current conditions are prime for some beach volleyball or a fun run.

Environment Canada’s forecast predicts a mix of sun and cloud for today with a 30 per cent chance of showers early this morning. Winds from the northwest are blowing 20 km/h and becoming light early in the afternoon.

The predicted temperature high is 26 C and the UV index is 7 or high. Tonight, there’s a 30 per cent chance of showers with the risk of a thunderstorm. The low is predicted to be 19 C.

MTS Super-Spike, one of Canada’s biggest outdoor volleyball tournaments, continues today at Maple Grove Rugby Park. The annual Color Me Rad 5K run also happens today at Red River Exhibition Park. Runners get pelted with colourful powder bombs in the name of a good time and better photographs.
