Westbound lane on Trans-Canada reopens near Portage

  • Print

Traffic was delayed this afternoon after a westbound semi trailer on the Trans-Canada flipped and ended up in the median ditch near Portage la Prairie, RCMP say.

The truck flipped about 1-½ kilometers west of Portage, RCMP said. The 24-year-old driver was not hurt. High winds were a factor, police said.

The westbound meridian lane closed for a time but reopened later Tuesday.
