Today's forecast calls for increasing clouds, rain and wind gusting up to 50 kilometres an hour. The high in Winnipeg will inch up to 17 C.
Showers will give way to gusting wind this afternoon. The wind will mean a tense time in parts of southern Manitoba ravaged by flood, particularly Lake Manitoba.
The province issued wind warnings for the south basin of Lake Winnipeg and the southern shorelines of Lake Manitoba, Lake Winnipegosis and Dauphin Lake. Those warnings are in place through the rest of the weekend into Monday.
