Winner of largest Dream Lottery for Kids announced

Teresa Sosa has some decisions to make, but sick kids in this province are the ones who are going to benefit the most.

Sosa, of Winnipeg, was the grand prize winner in the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba’s Dream Lottery for Kids, called the largest in history, after her ticket was drawn today.

It means Sosa now has to choose which of three prize packages she wants: an Artista Dream Home, 2012 BMW 535i xDrive and $125,000 cash; or a vacation condo in Kenora, $350,000 cash, 2012 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid and 2013 Crownline boat 245SF with trailer; or $1.035 million in cash.

Lawrence Prout, president and CEO of the foundation, thanked Manitobans for buying tickets for the lottery.

"Because of your commitment we can continue to help children when they need us the most in the hospital and finding cures for the future," Prout said in a statement.
