Winnipeg remains in deep freeze

It’s not getting any warmer in southern Manitoba.

Winnipeggers woke up to -20 C this morning with the windchill making it feel like -31 C. There is a 30 per cent chance of flurries early this morning with the temperature expected to drop to -23 C by this afternoon.

Tonight will see increasing cloudiness and snow will begin after midnight with about 2 centimetres expected. Tonight’s low is expected to hit -27 C, but rise to -19 C by Wednesday morning, with the windchill feeling like -29 C.

Wednesday is expected to hit a high of -14 C, but the windchill will make it feel like -28 C.

The normal high for this time of year is –9 C.
