Well, this will — literally — put some frost on your pumpkin.
After dipping down to a very chilly -9 C overnight — a level that has caused some bridges to be slippery in the early morning hours — today’s temperature is expected to rise no higher than 1 C under partly cloudy skies.
The overnight low on Tuesday should hover at a more manageable -3 C, with a more seasonal high of 7 C expected for Wednesday under a mix of sun and clouds.
The outlook for Thursday — you know, the spooky day — is for a high of 6 C with a 30 per cent chance of showers throughout the day, and Friday should bring a similarly seasonal 6 C under mostly cloudy skies.
And the weekend — which is still a whole Halloween-induced tummy ache away — calls for highs no higher than 3 C under mainly cloudy skies.
