A winter storm is causing delays in both departures and arrivals at Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International Airport.

As skies were mostly clear in Winnipeg as of this morning, most departing flights from Winnipeg were set to take off on schedule. However, arrivals from southern Ontario and Quebec are experiencing some delays, said Christine Payne, director of communications for the Winnipeg Airports Authority.

"The weather today could definitely affect travel out east. Things could potentially change, but your number one source is the airline," she said.
