Woman, 71, dies in seven-vehicle collision, man, 29, arrested

A 71-year-old woman is dead following a motor-vehicle collision involving seven vehicles shortly after 5 p.m., Saturday, at McPhillips Street and William Avenue. A vehicle driven by a 29-year-old was driving at a high rate of speed when it struck another vehicle. The driver of the second vehicle, a 71 year-old woman, died from her injuries.

Adam Quinn Langan was arrested at the scene and has been charged with impaired driving and several other charges.

All seven vehicles were damaged in the collision, and several people were transported to hospital.

The investigation by members of the Central Traffic Unit continues. Anyone with information regarding this incident who has not yet spoken with Police is asked to contact investigators at (204) 986-6271or Crime Stoppers at (204) 786-TIPS (8477).
