  • Print

The Manitoba woman who allegedly dragged several people into an extortion web is facing additional impersonation and fraud charges, the RCMP said today.

Shelly Lynne Chartier of Easterville, Man. was hit with 13 additional charges earlier this week, charges that involve 11 different people police say she allegedly either impersonated or defrauded. The 29-year-old appeared in court today and was released on a promise to appear.

Her next court appearance is Jan. 15 in the small community Easterville, which is 500 kilometres north of Winnipeg.

There is  a court-ordered publication ban on any other details.
