Woman sexually assaulted in North End

A woman was sexually assaulted as she walked in a North End neighbourhood early Sunday morning.

Winnipeg police said the 42-year-old woman was walking in the 500-block of Flora Avenue at about 5 a.m. Sunday, when she was approached by a man. Police said the victim was seriously sexually assaulted. The suspect fled the area.

The suspect is described as aboriginal in appearance, 20-30 years of age, about 5’6" tall, average build. He was wearing a black hoodie and a white bandana with black flecks.
