Woman's death in Shamattawa called homicide
A 19-year-old woman’s death in Shamattawa Sunday is being treated as a homicide , RCMP report. Police said that at about noon Sunday they were called to the remote community’s nursing station about a woman who’d been taken there in distress. Police said the woman was pronounced dead there. An autopsy was performed in Winnipeg on Monday. Police said they’re not releasing her cause of death. A man has been arrested but no charges have been laid yet, RCMP said Tuesday.
