Your Turn: Playing the post-nuptial name game

  • Print

What’s your take on the post-nuptial name game? Who, if anyone, should change their surname after the I Dos are done?

One-named wonder Beyonce is calling her 2013 world tour The Mrs. Carter Show. The singer’s full married name is Knowles-Carter, as is hubby Jay-Z’s -- but statistics suggest the small number of women who keep their maiden names after marriage has been shrinking for the past two decades – at least in the United States.

The Free Press is taking a closer look at the issue. Answer our poll question -- then share your personal experience or opinion on name-changing or name-keeping by emailing carolin.vesely@freepress.mb.ca

We're looking for opinions from both same-sex and opposite-sex couples, as well as couples with different surnames who have children.
