Another girl charged in cab attack

WINNIPEG — Another female teen is in now police custody, following one of the recent attacks on Winnipeg cabs.

On Feb. 1, a taxi driver picked up a group of five women in the 600 block of Notre Dame Avenue. As he was driving, the women forced him out of the cab and took off, later abandoning the vehicle on Toronto Street.

On Feb. 4, police arrested one 16-year-old female in conjunction with the attack.

On Wednesday, cops arrested a second suspect, this one a 15-year-old female. She has been charged with robbery with violence, and is currently detained in custody.

The Winnipeg Police Service said that the investigation into the incident continues, and that further arrests are pending.
