Police looking for several robbers
WINNIPEG — Police are looking for a female suspect in connection with a robbery at a Bank of Montreal branch in the 300 block of Portage Avenue yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to the downtown branch at approximately 1:40 p.m. but by the time officers arrived, the suspect had fled the scene.
The investigation found the lone woman approached a teller and said she wanted money and had a gun. The teller then handed over an unspecified amount of cash. Nobody was injured in the incident.
It's the second time in the last month that this BMO location has been robbed.
The suspect is described as being aboriginal in appearance, 5-foot-5, with a slim build and wearing a black hoodie, grey scarf, black toque and dark sunglasses.
Police are also looking for a different pair of suspects after a downtown Subway restaurant was robbed last night.
The investigation revealed a man and a woman entered the shop around 9 p.m. and threatened to harm an employee if their demands for cash weren't met.
The man was in possession of what appeared to be a gun. Both suspects fled with an unspecified amount of cash. Nobody was injured as a result of the incident.
The male suspect is described as Caucasian, about 20 years of age, 5-foot-5 and with a small build. He was wearing a black jacket and a black hoodie. The female suspect is described as Caucasian and with a skinny build. She was wearing a black jacket, black jeans and black runners.
The investigation continues.

Wow, talk about imasculating. The first reports of the Subway robbery indicated that it was two women not a woman and a man. There's nothing more embarassing to a 20 year old male than being mistaken for a 20 year old female.
