WINNIPEG — The province will begin to repair foundation cracks to the Inwood Manor next week to ward off an infestation of garter snakes, a government official said today.

"We've got contractors already lined up and then we're hoping to start the work next week," said Joy Cramer, chief executive officer of Manitoba Housing.

She said the snakes can go through any crack larger than 3/16 of an inch. The seniors complex was built in 1976.

Well... where there are snakes there are mice. The snakes are there to help you out, leave them alone. It could be your complex's new mascot. They are completely harmless. EDITED
