WINNIPEG — A man and a woman face manslaughter charges after a 23-year-old man was found dead in Little Black River on New Year’s Day.

Cynthia Sinclair, 23, and Gerald Abraham, 29, both residents of Little Black River, appear in Winnipeg Provincial Court today.

Cody Starr was found lying alongside the roadway around 1 a.m. by Powerview RCMP. He was transported to the Pine Falls Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy showed Starr died as a result of blunt force trauma.
