Wednesday -- in Ottawa, Statistics Canada releases the Canadian international merchandise trade figures for August and new housing price index for August. In Toronto, the Ontario Securities Commission holds hearing regarding allegations of fraud at Chinese forestry company Sino-Forest Corp.

Thursday -- in Toronto, Firan Technology Group Corp., an aerospace and defense electronics product maker, holds third-quarter conference call. In Vancouver, metals company Novagold Resources Inc. will release its third-quarter results before markets open followed by a conference call.

Friday -- in Ottawa, Statistics Canada releases labour productivity in the business sectors historical revision from 1981 to second quarter 2012. In Montreal, specialty pharmaceutical company Theratechnologies Inc. releases third-quarter results before markets open followed by a conference call.
