Charges laid in fatal beating

WINNIPEG police have laid two charges in the beating death of Braden Bjornson late last month.

Keagan Denzel Dick, 18, was arrested Thursday and charged with manslaughter.

The RCMP also tracked down a 15-year-old male in northern Manitoba. Upon his return to Winnipeg, the youth was charged with manslaughter and breach of probation.

Both are being detained in custody.

Bjornson was found lying on the ground on Machray Avenue in the wee hours of the morning on Friday, June 29. He was suffering from severe injuries to his upper body and was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he later died.
