THE Transportation Safety Board is investigating an incident involving two WestJet planes on a recently renovated runway at Richardson International Airport.
A notice from the TSB said an aircraft had to "go around" to avoid another aircraft in a landing area. A team will travel to Winnipeg to probe the incident.
Winnipeg Airports Authority spokeswoman Felicia Wiltshire said the incident occurred Monday, but wouldn't say much more because of the ongoing TSB investigation.
"They're coming in on a fact-finding mission, to find out exactly what happened... at this point there's not much I can say because the investigation is ongoing," Wiltshire said.
No flights were cancelled or delayed because of the incident, Wiltshire said.
