THE province will spend $300,000 over two years to support Brandon's composting program, Premier Greg Selinger said in Brandon Friday.
The money will go toward the expansion of Brandon's automated organic waste collection system to 6,000 households.
It's expected to divert an additional 2,600 tonnes of organic waste from the Eastview Landfill every year, extending the estimated life of the landfill by six years to 2048.
