FOLKLORAMA attracted about 413,000 visits to the festival's 43 pavilions.
Preliminary estimates released Monday show attendance at the 45th annual festival was on par with previous years, including 2013, which included three more pavilions than this year.
The largest and longest-running multicultural festival of its kind in the world ended Saturday after two weeks of entertainment, authentic ethnic food, cultural displays and warm hospitality.
The success "is due to the passion and commitment of our 20,000 incredible volunteers," says Amelia Sheocharan, Folklorama president.
The festival attracted 142 group tours, welcoming visitors from Africa, France, Japan, Korea and the United States, as well as from British Columbia, Ontario and rural Manitoba.
