Four arrested after theft of Apple devices from business

Three men and a woman have been arrested -- including an employee of a business -- after more than $13,000 worth of Apple electronic devices were stolen over more than a year.

Winnipeg police said on Thursday a 34-year-old man, who worked at the business on Oakpoint Highway, along with a 26-year-old man, 33-year-old man and 36-year-old woman, are facing charges of theft and possession of goods obtained by crime.

Police said starting in October 2011, and ending this month, about $13,435 worth of Apple devices were stolen from the business before they were shipped to another local business.

Police said they began investigating in November and determined an employee was allegedly involved while "other associates were also involved as suppliers of the stolen property."
