Give so others can live

RACHEL FEHR

CHARITY: Canadian Blood Services

How I'm sharing the Christmas spirit:

"Eric (husband and Winnipeg Jet forward) and I are partnering with Canadian Blood Services and encouraging people to donate blood to six donation sites between Christmas and New Years. It's such an easy way for people to give back to the community. Even if you're super busy, it only takes an hour of your time and you can help save three lives. We're both from Winkler and we wanted to get involved with something that people across the province could get involved with."

How you can help spread the Christmas spirit:

The sites are the Winnipeg Blood Donor Clinic at 777 William Ave. (Dec. 26 to Dec. 31); Portage Alliance Church in Portage la Prairie (Dec. 27); the Town Centre in Brandon and the Rhineland Pioneer Centre in Altona on Dec. 28; the Town Centre in Brandon and the Winkler Mennonite Brethren Church in Winkler on Dec. 29; and Manitoba Hydro Place on Dec. 30. There will also be a clinic at the MTS Centre on Jan. 6. For more information, visit www.blood.ca

My Christmas wish:

"I wish that everyone can spend Christmas with someone they love and that everybody donates blood."
