Beausejour RCMP seek help

BEAUSEJOUR RCMP are asking the public to help them find a man wanted in connection with sexual assault allegations.

Justin Randy William Rielly-Ducharme, 21, is 5' 9", with a slender build, weighing about 160 lbs. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.

He's wanted in connection with charges including sexual assault, sexual interference and forcible confinement.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Beausejour RCMP at 204-268-1234 or your local RCMP Detachment or police service.


Drunks, speeders targeted

THE Central Traffic Unit will be launching a special program this Friday to cut down on drunk drivers and speeders in the city's South End.

Police said the program will happen today on Bishop Grandin Boulevard, between Waverley Street and St. Anne's Road.

It will also happen near the University of Manitoba.

Police said they'll be targeting enforcement on people who are driving dangerously, or who are driving impaired.

Police will be working with Manitoba Public Insurance and University of Manitoba Security Services on the project.


Girl grabbed, escapes

AN 11-year-old girl said she was grabbed by a man in Elmwood.

The girl was walking near Riverton Avenue and Watt Street on Wednesday at about 4 p.m. when a strange man came up to her, police said. The man then grabbed the girl's arm, before she pulled her arm away and then left.

Police said they're looking for a suspect who's about 6'0. He wore a black parka with brown fur on the edge, black baggy pants, a black ski mask and black finger gloves. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 986-2857 or Crime Stoppers at 786-8477.
