Two stabbings in city

POLICE are seeking suspects in connection with separate stabbings that sent two men to hospital Friday night and early Saturday morning.

The first involved a 19-year-old man stabbed in the upper body in the 600 block of Main Street. Police say they arrived on the scene at around 8:40 p.m. and found the victim. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, and was later upgraded to stable.

An investigation found the victim got into an altercation with another man who approached him, resulting in the 19-year-old being stabbed, police said.

Police are seeking a suspect between the ages of 30 and 40, described as aboriginal in appearance, with short curly hair and a goatee.

Anyone with more information is asked to call police at 204-986-6668 or CrimeStoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).

Then at around 2:50 a.m., police arrived at the 3000 block of Ness Avenue and found a 25-year-old man who'd been stabbed.

He was taken to hospital in unstable condition and later upgraded to stable.

Police say the man got into a fight with two males and one female. He was stabbed in the upper body.

Police are seeking three suspects.

They include two Caucasian males, the first around 6-1 with a skinny build, weighing around 165 pounds and bald, and the second described only as being around 6-3.

The third suspect is described as a Caucasian female with brown hair and a thin build.

Man tries to grab girl

POLICE are asking for the public's help after a man tried to grab a girl Friday morning in the North End.

At about 9:10 a.m., the man approached the 10-year-old near Magnus Avenue and McGregor Street and grabbed her arm.

The girl ran away and told an adult.

The man is described as Caucasian with short, black, straight hair.

He was between 5-10 and 6 feet tall. He was driving a full-size sedan-style car.
