In brief
Two arrested for stabbing
Two people are in custody following a stabbing late Wednesday night.
Police said officers responded to a report of a stabbing at a house party in the 300 block of Aikins Street just before midnight. They found a 20-year-old woman with multiple injuries.
Police spokesman Const. Eric Hofley said the investigation found the victim had argued with a 26-year-old woman, which led to an assault. A 23-year-old man is alleged also to have assaulted the victim.
The attackers left the residence but returned a short time later and it's alleged the 26-year-old woman assaulted the victim with a weapon.
The 20-year-old woman was taken to hospital in unstable condition but her condition has since been upgraded to stable.
Lori Nadine Sinclair, 26, was charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and two probation breaches.
The 23-year-old man, from rural Manitoba, is facing charges of assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and three probation breaches.
Police raid Burrows grow-op
Police raided a marijuana grow-op in the North End Wednesday night.
Police said 431 plants and 85 grams of loose marijuana, with a combined street value of $483,000, along with equipment and some cash were seized from a home in the 300 block of Burrows Avenue.
Two men living in the home, aged 43 and 52, were arrested and released on a promise to appear in court. They face numerous drug-related charges.
