A man charged in the homicides of two gang members in 2009 will learn at the end of the month whether he will be going to trial.
A hearing concluded this week on a motion by Kenneth Roulette to have charges of first-degree murder thrown out.
Justice Robert Dewar imposed a ban on publication of all evidence presented at the hearing. Dewar will release his decision June 25.
The bodies of Dennis Ray Baptiste, 23, and Jesse Edward Henderson, 23, were found in a Maryland Street building in 2009.
Roulette, 28, was arrested in Calgary in 2010 on an unrelated matter and subsequently charged with the Maryland Street killings. Winnipeg police said all three men had gang ties.
A jury trial, if the charges stand, is expected to begin in October.
