Lewd acts in park lead to arrests

  • Print

WINNIPEG police have arrested two men who allegedly performed indecent acts Wednesday evening at a children's playground.

A 36-year-old woman was at the playground around 7:45 p.m Wednesday with three children, aged, 5, 7 and 9, at the 200 block of Varsity View Drive. A police release said two men, who had been sitting on benches in the park, spoke to the children and then left. As they were walking away, the woman and children noticed one of the men had dropped his pants and exposed himself, and the two men began performing indecent acts.

Police were contacted, and the area was searched, but the suspects were not located at that time.

Police later tweeted both suspects had been arrested.
