KENORA -- Ontario Provincial Police say two Manitoba men in their 30s were rescued after becoming stuck in deep slush while fishing in northwestern Ontario.
OPP say they were contacted Monday evening by Lac Du Bonnet RCMP about two men reported stranded in the area of Reynar Lake inside the Ontario border.
A police emergency response team and a Hercules aircraft from CFB Winnipeg joined the search.
One of the men called police from a cellphone to provide their GPS co-ordinates. Family members were nearby on snow machines and picked the men up.
