Mounties bust two, seek one for robbery

  • Print

Two men have been arrested and RCMP are looking for a third after a gas bar robbery in western Manitoba.

Swan River RCMP said on Friday three men wearing gloves and balaclavas and wielding metal poles entered a gas bar at the Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation, formerly the Indian Birch Indian Reserve, on Wednesday at about 9 p.m. and made off with the cash register containing an undisclosed amount of cash.

There were no injuries.

RCMP were able to arrest two men later that night, but a third is still at large.

Joseph George Brass, 29, and Johnny Stewart Cook, 28, have been charged with robbery with an offensive weapon, disguised with intent to commit an offence, and other charges.

RCMP are not releasing any other details.

The First Nation is about 50 kilometres north of Swan River.
