No details on body found in river

WINNIPEG police are not releasing any details about a body found in the Red River Friday morning.

The body was recovered just south of the North Perimeter bridge around 10 a.m.

"The investigation is in its early stages and is continuing. The gender or age of the deceased has not been confirmed. More information will be released pending results of an autopsy," Patrol Sgt. Monica Stothers said Saturday.
