POLICE are investigating an arson in Norway House that caused more than $1 million in damage.

Emergency officials responded to the blaze at the Kinosao Sipi Minisowin Agency at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

The CFS agency was inside the building, which was being expanded.

Police said they're treating the blaze as an arson.

There were no injuries, an RCMP news release said.

Officers from the RCMP Norway House detachment, members from the Thompson RCMP major-crime unit and the Manitoba North crime-reduction support team are investigating, RCMP said.

The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner is also involved in the investigation.
