Sisler high vandalized
THREE teenage boys were slapped with charges after Sisler High School was vandalized two weekends in a row.
Const. Jason Michalyshen said the school in the 1300 block of Redwood Avenue was broken into and vandalized Nov. 3 around 1 a.m. "The same school was broken into (on Sunday) at which time damage was caused and property was removed, he said.
Officers responded and apprehended three suspects. Two of the suspects are 15 and the third is 17. The charges include break, enter and theft.
Two dead in highway crash
TWO people died in a collision on Highway 6 Friday evening.
The collision involved a four-vehicle crash near Hwy 411 in the RM of Woodlands.
A 26-year-old man from The Pas and a 46-year-old man from Woodlands died. Their names were not released. Five people were hurt.
Fugitive teen nabbed
A 14-year-old boy wanted on a Canada-wide warrant was arrested and charged with two counts of attempted murder.
Friday morning, officers rushed to the 400 block of Pacific Avenue regarding reports of a male possibly armed with a gun. A short time later, he was arrested.
On June 24, the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of shots being fired in the area of Sherbrook Street and Wolseley Avenue.
The investigation revealed a firearm was discharged at a parked vehicle, striking one of the occupants. The 17-year-old victim was seriously hurt.
The suspect remains in custody at the Manitoba Youth Centre.
