Police seek suspects in home invasion

POLICE are looking for two men in their late teens or early 20s who carried out an armed home invasion late Wednesday afternoon.

Const. Jacqueline Chaput says police were sent at about 5 p.m. Wednesday to a home in the 300 block of Regent Avenue.

A 55-year-old man was home alone when two men entered his homes. The men, one of whom was armed with a knife, demanded money from the victim, Chaput said. The victim was assaulted and pepper sprayed. The attackers fled the home empty handed.

The victim was brought to hospital in stable condition.

Chaput described the suspects as 18 to 22 years, 5-foot-8, stocky build, wearing a white or grey balaclava, dark clothing; 18 to 22 years, 5-foot-2, skinny build, wearing a black balaclava and dark clothing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 986-2857 or CrimeStoppers at 786-TIPS (8477).
