Queenston School gym build delayed

THE long-awaited Queenston School gym will have to wait even longer -- Winnipeg School Division says it won't open until sometime in early 2014 at the earliest.

The gymnasium had been scheduled to open when school starts in September 2013. The school division did not offer any explanation for its brief news update on the delay.

A community group raising funds for the gym had a deadline this past Saturday to raise $450,000 -- so far they have raised slightly less than $200,000.
