Sorry folks, this is for kids

YOU'VE heard Mikhail Gorbachev is coming to town, and you're excited about being part of We Day.

You'd love to buy a ticket to the MTS Centre Oct. 30.

Alas.... All 18,000 seats in the arena and on the floor will be occupied by students from more than 380 schools.

"We Day Manitoba is free of charge to the thousands of students and educators in attendance, thanks to the generous support of our sponsors," Free the Children executive director Scott Baker said Thursday.

"As a school-focused program, tickets to We Day are not available for purchase by the general public," he said. "Those interested can learn more at www.freethechildren.com/weschools or email youth@freethechildren.com ."

You can check out information through MuchMusic and CTV, at www.weday.com Eight events across Canada are expected to draw 100,000 students.

Baker said millions more will watch online (www.weday.com) and through the MuchMusic broadcast special premiering on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. on MuchMusic and Saturday, Nov. 24 at 6 p.m. on CTV.
