TWO men, aged 49 and 56, have been charged after police seized the equivalent of 1,000 cartons of contraband cigarettes near the Manitoba-Ontario border last Saturday.
The illicit, unmarked cigarettes have an estimated street value of $30,000. The truck used to transport the cigarettes was seized.
If convicted, the men face fines and penalties of more than $100,000.
