Teen charged in stabbing
An 18-year-old man was stabbed in his home in the 100 block of Sanderson Avenue at about 3 a.m. Wednesday, police said. The victim had been involved in verbal dispute with another young man at a social function earlier in the evening.
Police allege the accused broke into the victim's home, stabbed him several times in the mid and upper portions of his body and fled.
The victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition and was later upgraded to stable condition.
A suspect was arrested later that day. He was charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and break and enter. He was detained at the Manitoba Youth Centre.
