Teen killed after car rolls

A 17-year-old Winnipeg girl died in a single vehicle rollover just after midnight Friday in the RM of DeSalaberry, RCMP said today.

A 24-year-old woman from St. Pierre Jolys was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, said Sgt. Line Karpish.

The fatality occurred on Gauthier Road and alcohol is believed to be a factor, Karpish said.

"Initial investigation indicates that the driver of the car lost control on the gravel road and rolled," Karpish said. "An RCMP traffic collision analyst attended the scene and is assisting with the ongoing investigation."

Police have not released names.
