Revisit the Hundred Acre Wood
Assiniboine Park's Pavilion Gallery Museum is now home to the permanent exhibit The Pooh Gallery. This family-friendly exhibition allows you to experience Winnie the Pooh's story, from Lt. Harry Colebourn's first meeting with the special bear to Winnie the Pooh's current iconic place in children's literature. The Pavilion Gallery Museum is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free and donations are accepted. For more information visit assiniboinepark.ca .
Walk for a good cause
Get outside and get active for Steps for Life -- Walking for Families of Workplace Tragedy. Starting at 10 a.m. today at Kildonan Park, walkers and runners alike are encouraged to come out, donate, or volunteer their time to the cause. All proceeds from the walk go toward The Association For Workplace Tragedy Family Support, an organization that provides help to families affected by workplace trauma. Tonight only, the West End Cultural Centre presents An evening with Jane Siberry. This Canadian singer-songwriter with a new-wave pop style is most noted for her single Calling All Angels and has had her songs recorded by k.d. lang.
